U.K. artist based in Tamano, Okayama prefecture, Japan. Landscapes, imagined or otherwise, and abstraction.

The common theme in my work is simply the landscape,  which I use as a base to invoke thoughts and feelings, to create space and to play with and capture light from nature or imagination.

Current series-'Tones of Tamano'

The subject of my current work is Tamano city in Okayama prefecture, Japan. Located on the beautiful coastline of the Seto inland sea and less than five kilometers from Naoshima.

Although I paint from imagination not life, the views I see everyday influence my paintings.

Via the use of subtle tones, structured compositions, subdued or powerful light, I aim to pull the viewer into the painting to experience the character and feeling of Tamano.
